We use a bouncier softer rubber ball, but totally worth the money. Gave up on a casual living room so the neighborhood kids could throw down most weekends. Where are your kids? Our neighborhood knew where ours were. Worth twice the price.

I love that it has foam padding hidden on the backside so it doesn't mess up my doors. Assembly is simple and it puts together in just a few minutes. He wanted one of those cardboard backboard with a sponge like basketball and a plastic hoop. This has a sturdy backboard, ball and hoop. The ball is not a ball that needs to be pumped with air, which I prefer. Our kids like to jump off the bed to dunk the ball and its held up quite well.

Seriously, this thing comes with a metal, spring action rim and with a great durable, plastic backboard. You can actually bank shots with this thing! They even put a generous amount of padding so you don't scratch your wall or door.

In college, he and his friends had a cheap-o "nerf" set in their dorm rooms and had a blast creating trick shots, dunking on each other, and just being guys. 7+ years later and he still talks about how much fun he had with that. This was a much-needed upgrade so he can finally throw away that old cardboard/plastic hoop that has been ripped up so many times it's falling apart.

   This was the best investment I made!!! I love to play basketball, for fun and this was the perfect for it. The basket is very sturdy, I hanged it behind my door, and it doesn't come off. It was very easy to install, nothing too hard for a average person to do. I wouldn't recommend dunking, but I love to shoot and do layups. I however did not like the hard ball, so I would recommend their other ball that is very soft. BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU WANT A INDOOR BASKETBALL EXPERIENCE.

   Hi and first off most of the reviews state the ball stinks, well its serviceable and a rubber 4 inch ball, I probally would have used a softer ball, however this ball works. The mini basketball goal itself is phenomenal, it looks like the real deal from the break resistant backboard, to the breakaway metal rim (great durable construction). With the ball being very similar to an outdoor rubber basketball the only issue is you dont want this near breakable things, being my son has a tv with a xbox360, wii and other breakable things near his door I chose to try it outside on our cement patio. Well, let me tell you, it was the best decision I ever made. It fits any standard door and I chose the outside storage door which is very sturdy and the kids have a blast dunking and shooting threes.

   I bought this for my son because he broke our prior indoor hoop and we needed a more durable basket that would hold up over time. I also put one of these together for my nephew several months ago, and I really liked the professional look and play of it, which is why I chose to get one for our household as well. The real-play feel is addicting, and I find myself wanting to play just as much as my son (if not more) at times. It takes some patience putting it together, but it's well worth it. It's durable, very realistic in terms of play, and a ton of fun. I would definitely recommend it.
