I use this product as a Wi-Fi repeater. It works very well in that capacity. I get about 100 mb/s upload & download repeating a 500mb/s source. Understand this is not a mesh system. You will have two separate SSIDs, so if a device, like a phone, moves around the house, you will have to switch between networks for optimum coverage as you move (like upstairs to downstairs in my case).
