I think it’s best when right against a wall but I still like it. If the room is dark or still gives a nice glow behind the tv.

   Cannot speak to long-term adhesion as I just set these up. However, so far what I love: Super easy setup and connectivity. I set up three sets on three monitors in about half an hour. I love that these don’t come with a dinky remote control. I adhered the controllers to the back of each monitor, right next to the ODS controller buttons, and don’t have another gadget for my remote drawer. Nice!

   I am optimistic that these may adhere better than my last set of monitor backlights. While cut-to-fit strips with corner connectors are best for clean appearance and long-term adherence, these are four strips connected a couple inches of flat, flexible cable. The strips don’t fit precisely, but they come pretty close and there are included adherent tabs for holding extra cable in place. This design did make it a little easier to fit easily to my monitors with oddly-shaped housings on the back. Just very flexible.

   I do have a couple of USB extension cords in order. The cords on these are pretty short, but then, my setup is pretty big. Perhaps for a single monitor right next to a computer it’s fun. But with multiple monitors and running cabling along monitor arms, down to a USB hub below my desktop, yeah, these definitely need extension cords.

   The quality of the LEDs are phenomenal, and I managed to stretch it across all four sides of a 55" TV. Although it's best for smaller TVs, you can center the top and bottom strips then run the sides a bit closer to the center of the TV rather than by the outside. There's an app to control the lights which has decent UX. It has a color wheel option, or set colors and patterns. The brightness is the only con, I feel like it could be brighter, and there is less LEDs than it seems. However, the light itself flows into one line rather than individual dots, which I feel like is rare for some light strips on the market.

   Easy to install on a 27” iMac. Works well! The strip is nicely designed to bend around corners without bending the strip itself. It comes with adhesive clips that allow you to hold the strips in place - I used them to hold the cable that connects to the controller to the back of the iMac so that I can reach behind the lower left side easily to turn the lights on/off, adjust the color, and the various levels of intensity. I have it plugged in to a USB hub (not the iMac) and it works perfectly well. You may be hesitant as to which size to get since most are listed as fitting many ranges of TVs - this one is perfect for the iMac 27". I leave the lights on so when you walk by the room, you see the glow - my wife LOVES it (so that's a great endorsement!).
