   I have a 10x8 "kids pool" that I enjoy lounging in with a book on a hot day. Not really small enough to dump out daily so I want to keep it clean with chlorine etc but I noticed the small grains of dirt on the bottom. I didn't want to spend a lot and found this great lil tool. I was apprehensive so I was pleasantly surprised when this worked so well. Super easy to put together and take apart to store. Love it and have already recommended it to others!

   Took 2 minutes to assemble. Attached hose, immersed in our spa. Just like that, it picked up all of the sand that had collected at the bottom of my hot tub. I have one of those light weight shrinkable hoses that worked perfectly with this vacuum. I'm so glad I did not waste my money on those rechargeable pool vacuums. Well worth the money.    I was concerned with the size and simplicity when I opened the package. The little orange connector that screws onto a garden hose does NOT spray until you snap it onto the device (when you're READY). The brush-base works well, with good suction. I added a nylon knee sock for finer filtration and it worked well. Quiet, no battery to recharge, and it adds makeup water to help with daily evaporation. You need a hose that can go the length of your pool. Surprisingly cost effective for something that works so well in a swimming pool!

   Do you have to be careful with this item where the female end of a heavy hose (remember it will be filled with water which is heavy; 1 gal of water weighs ~8.5 lbs) meets the male connector of the vacuum? 100%. Otherwise the weight of the hose and water will cause the male connector to snap & break on you almost instantly. But just hold the hose and pole together with one hand near this point and you will be fine.
   The suction power is fine. The netting is a fine mesh so it traps fine particles like sand. It's easy to assemble. And it's priced right. Just be careful when operating, as the plastic is cheap (what do you expect for the price), and it's a very good deal.
