   They had been on my porch, in my trash, and worst of all, sleeping on my car. I tried cat repel spray, which only sort of worked, and plants that are supposed to keep cats away, which did not work, and finally caved and bought this after watching a video of it. It is a pretty heavy duty piece of hardware. I put it right next to my driveway the day I received it. It seems to have immediately stopped the cats from coming anywhere near my house and driveway. It rained for five days after I put it out and the unit got wet and started acting a little funny, so I contacted the seller the company sent me another unit ASAP. Fantastic customer service. Anyway, I'm on week two or three with this thing and haven't had any cats on my car, so I'd say it works. Certainly within the price point for trying. Will update this post if anything changes.

   Since I set this up, the dog avoids my property like the plague. I even see the dog get let out first thing in the morning, and he runs anywhere, but never near this. Cleaning up after the neighborhood dogs on my lawn, felt like mucking out a horse's barn, on a daily basis. But not now. Dobby is free. I have now purchased two more, to complete the perimeter protection of my property. There are also cats, who like to foul the mulch underneath my kitchen window. This was very easy to set up. Contains a solar rechargeable battery. Set it and forget it. Also works at night. No animals get hurt. Humans no longer have aggravation with neighborhood mammals. This has set me free from years of cleaning up a constant barrage of animal feces.

   Had to work a bit with the frequency & placement but you should have seen that squirrel turn in midair and run. So far "on medium" we had a deposit of skunk or raccoon droppings in the front area, under the bay window. Turned the thing up & so far, so good!! Doesn't seem to effect our bird "sanctuary", thank goodness. The second one we placed on light frequency & a skunk & his buddy the raccoon with her baby just busily ate the bird seed on the ground. So turned that one up to high as well. This along with a motion spot light seems to do the trick. Haven't seen a stray cat or dog in our yard. And a baby skunk took one or two steps into the range & promptly managed to squeeze through the chain link fence! mwaahaah! Unfortunately the spot light goes on in the middle of the night & we've only actually been able to watch a mid sized raccoon climb the chain link fence and then down the other side head first. Thanks, we really didn't want to live trap stray cats, raccoons & skunks (oh boy). Animal control is already overworked!

   At first this product seemed like a dud, but now the feral cats are no where in sight. My next door neighbor feeds feral cats and they were making themselves at home in my yard and leaving me "presents." The morning after I installed it I saw a cat drinking from my small pond, very close to the unit. Every time it went off she looked up , but didn't seem bothered at all. So I thought that was $50 down the drain. I adjusted the sensitivity to a higher setting and put the unit on a small hill so it would detect movement better. After that, the cats have been staying away. I am impressed. Twice I saw a cat walk in my yard and then turn around a walk right out, before activating the sensor. I am guessing they had been blasted by it and decided not to take a chance. It's been less than a week at this point, so I will update this if anything changes. It also worked fine after spending the night in a torrential down pour. I thought for sure it would be filled with water, but it just kept working.

   You can set the sound level and sensitivity for small to large animals. The flashing led lights can be turned on on off as well. I have many deer in our area and when it snows, they get real hungry and start eating all our plants and bushes. I have put these on a 4 foot to 5 foot pole, so the snow will not cover them. They solar charge easily all winter and summer, so there is no need to replace batteries. I just put them in place and let them do all the work. Sounds is not very auditable by humans, but the dear and animals sure do not care for the flashing lights and sound these produce.

   Was skeptical about these but gambled and ordered several. I live in the country & have problems with deer eating everything in my garden (shrubs, flowers and vegetables). I have recently had close encounters with black bear within yards of my house. I scattered these around the perimeter of my yard and had immediate success with deterring the deer. The lack of nibbling was obvious. I have no guarantee about the black bear but since putting these around my yard, I have not seen any within the Hoont perimeter. An added benefit that I really wasn't expecting is that these have also deterred armadillo which can dig up my yard overnight. I plan to buy more in the future to add to my perimeter and to attempt to protect a chicken coop from predators. These were easy to install and unless tripped by something are fairly unobtrusive in the landscape. The clicking noise can be annoying if I am working in the yard but I just switch them off and make sure to switch them back on when I complete tasks. These have been installed for about a month and I've had no issues with them at all, in fact, the range is much wider/broader than stated. I can turn into my driveway (30 feet away) and they will flash. You do have to be strategic in the way you angle them but a little thought as to where the deer were entering my property seems to have worked.

   This year the birds decided they like to look in the side mirrors on both sides and poop all down the side of my truck or get on the toolbox and look in reflection on back window and poop al over the tool box. I drilled a hole in 4x4 piece of wood I had just big enough for the stake. Set this on the tailgate and facing back window. The birds have stop pooping on my truck. I do fold in the mirrors and have to fake rubber snakes hanging on the mirrors. I was spending 6 dollars a evening at the car wash. It is water proof so rain does not affect it. It has solar panel that recharges the batteries. I only have charged it one time per the instructions when I first got it. It been working great for one month. I had purchase another 10 snakes and fake Owls and they did not work after day or too. I did have guy walking bye who could hear it. I cannot hear it.

   I've had this in my yard next to my dwarf peach tree for two weeks now, and it seems to have worked really well for keeping squirrels away from my peaches. Last year, the little fellas ate every peach on my tree! So far it seems to be working great. I waited two weeks before reviewing to make sure. If anything changes, I'll provide an update. Regarding placement, I stuck it in the ground about 2.5 feet away from the tree trunk, and have it facing the tree. If anything approaches the tree from anywhere other than directly behind the device, it starts clicking and strobing. If a squirrel approaches from directly behind, it could get really close but it still has to get somewhere the sensors will pick it up before it would get to the tree. In that case, the thing is going to go off right next to him and that'll probably scare the squirrel off even better, lol. The sensor has a very wide range. I'm really impressed with the batteries. I've had a lot of bad luck with solar powered items with batteries that are charged by sunlight. You can charge the batteries in this device with a USB cable, which is nice if your yard doesn't get enough sun where you're placing it. I charged the batteries up in this the day I got it, and I have not had to plug it up since. The solar charging seems to be doing the trick. Two 18650 lithium ion batteries come with the device, so that's nice as well. I have nothing bad to say at all.

   We love this product! We recently moved to a new home on 2 acres, with about 50 squirrels, and some possum, wandering throughout the property. We did a lot of research on the damage squirrels can do to outdoor furniture cushions, etc.and were victims of squirrel damage at our prior home. Articles ranged from fox urine, to toy snakes on the ground, etc., but most of the reviews were pretty bad on their effectiveness. By dumb luck, came across this solar battery in one article and because of the cheap price we bought two of them six weeks ago. Within one day, the squirrels had moved from the areas where the units were installed, and congregated at other spots of our property. So we bought two more, and the squirrels moved again to the areas where there were no units (I think the distance one device can cover is about 30-40 feet or so, which seems accurate based on where the squirrels started moving to). We bought 2 more a week later and the squirrels are now virtually gone from our property. We will probably end up buying 1 or 2 more to cover outer perimeter of the lawn so possum don't eat some of the flowers. We are totally satisfied with this product. It's almost like a miracle given all of the articles I read, which implied that it was almost hopeless. We also like that the units are solar powered, and so far we've had no problems with any of the units that we have. One reviewer downgraded their review because the "squirrel" setting in the instructions was too low. I agree with that reviewer and it does need to be turned up a notch or two to get the squirrels to move. We also have a golden retriever, and she is not bothered at all with the setting we've used. Plus, it's easy to test at the beginning with your dog in the house to see if they react. I wish the units had a longer range than 30 feet or so, but the supplier is pretty honest about the range. And for the price, plus solar batteries, it's a great deal - in our opinion.
