My dog absolutely loves the sounds this thing makes. She gets so excited every time we play with it. It is not very durable however, you will quickly start to see dents and bite marks after a short play session. I would not recommend leaving it out to play at all times for that reason. If the dog does manage to puncture it completely or pull it apart it is a very hard plastic that could cause damage to teeth, gums, or stomach if ingested. Would recommend tossing it once it gets to that point.
