   That it rolls up like a window shade is brilliant and makes for a very compact pet barrier. This is installed in the middle of my staircase where a swing type gate (hinges) would definitely not work. I was trying to come up with a DIY solution but never considered a retractable window shade as a solution. Completely worth the price, includes all hardware (eight screws) and it looks great too.

   I had though it was a metal mesh but it is plastic. Although it seems durable enough so no problem there. You have to be very precise installing the latch catches or it will not hook up right. I ended up cutting out some of the excess plastic inside the two latch handles rather than drill new holes and such to relocate the catches. Hopefully the spring mechanism and such will last.

I measured wrong and it was too short for my area. 😔 So I had to go with a different brand that I am not as happy with. I wish this gate came in a longer option.    Was very easy to instal but you must make sure they are in studs or anchored on wood. Love the idea it can be used when needed and rolled away when not, there's no more moving heavy gates this is a definite must. I wouldn't be confident if using on stairs for a baby it is strong but babies are curious so they would find a way around it. I do have large dogs so I couldn't put to the floor and it works fine higher up also.
