The assembly to tighten the seat does need to be adjusted to fit correctly, but that type of assembly is built with adjustment to work perfect. This works for my 11 year old son, but a little large for my 9. I just ordered the 16" for my 9 year old son. We will see if I keep 5 stars with that model.

My son is 10, and the unicycle is too large for him, so we had to cut down the seat and now it fits great. He's only had it for 5 days and he's already getting the hang of it. It is holding up with all of the abuse and falls too.
