Bought this for dayhome use. Took it camping with us as well and looked at leaves and insects. I don't know who was more excited the children or myself. A friend at camp owns another brand said he liked this one as it also had the stand option and his did not. I would recommend this to all educators looking for a microscope. Haven't figured out all the features of it yet but the kids have enjoyed it so far
