Of course it isn't only a shovel, it can be used as a saw as well which is a bonus especially if you are in an emergency situation. I wanted this for my husband's emergency bag. It's not too heavy but very sturdy. It would be great to keep in the car for winter weather or like me in my wheelchair bag. I have a stone driveway and I have been stuck several times and instead of calling someone I could have used this to dig the wheels out. It's easy and quick to open it out and fold it up again. In fact I couldn't find anything wrong with it.
