This year I wanted to get a head start on looking for a Halloween costume, considering where I live there are limited options, and I have odd body proportions (5' 5", 145 pounds, 34DDD boobs, and very narrow rib cage) so I decided on this costume. Overall I love it, I love that the dress almost looks like a beer girl so you could wear it that way without the cape, or you could wear it with the cape and you look exactly like little red riding hood.

   I got this for Halloween and I was really impressed by the quality at this price point! I had to snip a few loose threads, but the fabric is sturdy (the black and red are velvet, the white is cotton, and the lacing is cord) and the construction was pretty legit, aside from the fabric not matching up on the zipper in back. The tulle underskirt is really scratchy, but if you wear tights or leggings with it, it's fine (and magically doesn't snag on said tights). The bust area provides quite ample space if you're bigger up top, but I'm a 32B and ended up padding my chest so it didn't look sad and deflated.

   Considering the price, it was great. The material is good and the length wasn't too short on me, it was more modest than anticipated but I feel more comfortable that way. The one thing I'll say is the boob part is a bit weird, like my boobs ought to be perkier and larger (I'm a 32c) to fit the way the boob cut out intends, but as an easy Halloween costume, it was great. I added the basket as well and bought a little petticoat thingy for extra skirt poof, got lots of compliments!

   I loved my red riding hood costume!!! great price for the quality!! normally you get a cheap flimsy material, but when i received it, i noticed the velvet on the skirt was great quality along with the beautiful full size cape! i was surprised as you would think the cape would some cheap thin material, this cape was not that at all. It came out barely wrinkled too! i'm 4'11, 98 pounds and the costume around the waist was perfect and snug. The skirt was a bit short, but i had the cape to cover my behind. I also bought a tutu to add more poof. My husband and I won 2nd place in a costume contest at a local bar!! yay! i would highly recommend this costume from Secret Wishes, great quality, fit, and price!

   I bought this just for the cape (for some reason, it's cheaper to buy a whole packaged costume than a separate red cape) and I'm pretty shocked by how well made this is for around $25. The cape itself is a nice crimson velvet-esque material that's just the right tailbone length. The dress itself is also pretty thoughtfully made; there's even a bit of fabric boning around the "corset" and the materials and stitching are nice. I'm 5'11" and 140 lbs. and the dress in a Medium just covers my butt and really swims on me, so I imagine if you're tall and want the dress itself this probably won't be your best option (although I imagine a short girl could pull this off very well). Very pleased!

I'm glad I read the reviews, because I was about to go with a large (due to my chest size-34DDD), but the reviews are right: the bust area is very roomy. Even I had extra room in it. I am 5'4" and 145, and need to say that, while the dress is adorable, it is very short. I bought a petticoat to wear underneath, and it came perfectly into place. I LOVE the hood, as it's separate from the costume. It also kept me warm all evening. More than worth the price!
