   We placed one in our kitchen to automatically turn our lights on and off and it works perfectly. It was easy to set up and works flawlessly. You can very easily set how long the lights stay on after there is no more motion, overnight hours where is turns the lights to a different setting (nightlight mode in my case), and you can set the amount of sunlight you find to be sufficient in the room for the motion sensor not to be triggered. If you use Apple home kit it also ads an unadvertised temperature reading to your room that you can link together with other smart devices.

   I've had 3 of these set up in different areas of my place, controlling hue lights, for about 3 months now. They took me maybe 2-3 minutes each to physically install, and another 2-3 minutes to pair to the appropriate lights within the hue app. They have worked quickly and flawlessly the entire time. I'm actually surprised at how well they work.. knock on wood. I love that I can set them to certain brightnesses at night time vs day, and how i can set how long they stay on for. I thought i would have a lot more times when they just randomly don't respond but there has only been maybe one occasion of that, and it worked very soon after. Enjoy!

   I love this motion sensor! I already had the hue bulbs and bridge so it was relatively cheap and easy to set up for me. The way my house is designed our there is a front room that you enter when you first come in the house. But the light switch for that room is behind the second door as you can see from the second pic. It was super inconvenient to be able to turn the light on and off when leaving and entering the house when it was dark outside. This made my life one million times better!! I definitely recommend if your house is set up weird like mine

   Use this motion sensor in our entry porch/mudroom from our garage to turn on some Hue lights used on a timer at night in our entryway and house when we come into the house when it is dark. Works fine. Took a little effort to understand how to program properly but probably just because I was new at using Hue lights. Not difficult to install, can be set on a table or attached to a wall with a screw or, as I did it, with velcro. Can be adjusted for angle to point toward the door or wherever you want it to point. Not very attractive but not really obtrusive either. Happy with this motion sensor.

   These things work fantastic in a home assistant setup with a conbee stick. Never had an issue with any of them. I only had a few for places I wanted to track temp, and filled out my house with cheaper motion only sensors, but the later were unreliable after a year or so. These hue ones never broke down, never glitched, and only needed a battery change after about a year+. Slowly phasing out my cheaper motion sensors for these simply due to how reliable and hassle free they've been. The only downside is they're hard (impossible?) To corner mount with the included hardware. Mounting anywhere else is a piece of cake. However, thingverse has some great corner mount solutions if you know someone with a 3d printer, have one yourself, or can find something like a makerspace or library with one.

   This works better than I thought. It also comes with some features I don't think were explained. I knew you could set light brightness depending on time of day. I did not know it will dim lights prior to shutting off with no movement. I also did not know that it can be set up to return the lights to their prior setting prior to the sensor detection. This would effectively allow you to disable your sensor by turning your lights on prior to triggering your sensor. I have not tried this feature yet. Questions arise about the dimming feature on whether it would dim the lights prior to turning bright again when returning to original setting. I have tested with this feature off, turning lights on and then triggering sensor. Once time elapsed the lights would then turn off. With the feature on as described, the light should remain on when the time elapsed.

   I was actually quite leery of buying this motion detector. A lot of reviews were rather scathing of it and I was nervous. But I am glad I took the risk, because it works flawlessly. First, it was super simply to setup. It didn't even take a minute. Next, mounting it is just as easy. They even make it possible for you to use the same screw on the sides of the magnetic backing in order to mount it at an angle without having to use special hardware. Lastly, it just works. It has worked better than I expected, no false triggers and no issues with it failing to detect motion. The sensitivity settings are very accurate and I'm just happy with it.
