I compared this to more expensive jump ropes and there isn't really much of a difference, aside from how padded the handles are - but I've never had any issues on my hands from jumping with this for an extended period of time

This jump rope works just fine, though part of it was NOT beaded, but just empty rope. Some say it's like that on purpose so you can adjust the jumprope and make it shorter, but that doesn't make sense. I want to use the rope at its full length, and it's a pinch unsightly with the missing beads. Plus I can always remove excess beads in order to shorten it. The maker is apparently reducing quality to make more profit. I preferred this jumprope, which had slightly larger (standard in my opinion) beads and was filled more completely with beads: US Games Segmented Skip Rope, 8-Feet, Blue/White
