I have already purchased a couple of these bird feeders and they work very well. You can hang them from branches or from a metal pole with a hook. The squirrels will attempt to eat the seed but their weight will cause the windows to close making the seed inaccessible. The only problems I have had with the feeder are caused by hungry raccoons. These are stronger critters that have sometimes pulled the feeder off the branch and dropped it to the floor. But even in those cases the feeder is sturdy enough and has not been broken.

I love that the majority of the product is metal and the inner plastic bits are completely protected by a heavy duty metal cage. I have had squirrels and other critters bite through plastic parts in the past and break other feeders by constantly attacking the feeders over and over again. This one so far has lived up to the challenge! I will be buying a couple of these sturdy feeders before the summer for sure!

For cleaning I just remove the top, spray out with a hose, then let it dry. The feeder is very well made and easy to fill without making a mess.
