Go ahead and buy some fast food and ruin your stomach for the same amount of money though this thing is a steal! Yes it's built to a price point and it does have inadequacies but it sure as heck works and maybe I got a good one as mine is perfect -no instructions but they're simple to operate from the vendors ads so buy and confidence and enjoy this!!

I always modify my toys. These two are really good for the price especially. I melted the ends a little better and removed the adjustable pinch slide thing. I also sharpened the metal edges inside to give a usable cutting edge and a better fire steel striker. I have started three fires with this already. The LED light is really good too. There's two inside and it is waterproof. You can not change the battery. When it's dead, it's dead. The light is a single piece with no openings that I can see. I've had it submerged and no issues at all. The compass seems to be accurate and the thermometer works, but is in Celsius. You will need to convert the displayed temp to Farenheit if applicable. I love mine and would buy these again. Also, I removed the label on the light because I thought I made it look too cheesy. I used some break cleaner. Fingernail polish removal will work too. All mods done with basic stuff; lighter, pliers, knife/scissors, hand files. If you are a person that would actually wear this, you can probably do these mods too. They are well worth it.
