   They saved me to much! None of my local auto stores had the pliers but they had some of the clamps. If I had taken my Wildcat to the shop for the boots to be replaced it would have cost the price of all supplies plus the $200 for the mechanic to do the job. In this case I paid $20 for pliers and did the job myself.

   These are very well made heavy duty crimp pliers. They properly crimp the crimp loop and then push down on the crimp to 'lock' the crimp in place. There are 1/2 inch square holes so you can use two 1/2 " socket wrenches with extensions if you need the extra leverage or you are working in a hard to access area. These are long so you do need access for the crimper. This is a well made tool at a reasonable price.

   After destroying a tool bought at NAPA trying to get my new CV boot clamps installed, I ordered this tool. The ability to connect breaker bars to it made it very simple and easy to install the new clamps in seconds and the tool didn't show any signs of stress after installing the 8 clamps I needed to. It was a bit cumbersome, so I had my brother hold the clamp in place while I tightened it. Would definitely recommend, way better than trying to get those weird clamps on with pliers.

   This CV boot tie crimper is absolutely outstanding. It connects to both sides of the tie strap tightening “bump”. However, it not only crimps the bump, but at the same time it flattens the bump and you're done. I have a Porsche Boxster and there was a very small space to get the tie/strap installed. This tool made the job easy and done right. I highly recommend it!
