Tried a few other types of mounts, but this one stands apart with its magical automatic side clamps. Just place phone in cradle, and the side clamps retract (small internal motor/gears) and grip the phone quite well. Green LEDs confirm you're getting power from the vehicle, and a tiny tap on one tells the clamps to extend and release the phone. Couldn't be simpler! The mounting brackets and hardware provide for suction cup or vent mounting, with lots of flexibility. No excuse to have the phone up high in your line of sight, and not unsafely bouncing loose in the console. The only improvement would be to include a 12VDC lead/transformer to allow for permanent electrical connection to the vehicle. But, a power outlet type of USB adapter will work just fine too. Now I have this mount/cradle in both my vehicles, and it is incredibly convenient to have my phone charge so easily, without futzing with power cables and needing two hands.

Works great. I haven’t used the suction cup as it’s mounted to a vehicle specific mount. But so far it has held up for nearly a year in a commercial truck the shakes and bounces around all over with no issues. This is actually my 2nd one, the older one is in my car attached to the vent with no issues there either.
