   We purchased this so we could have little bonfires on the beach! I live near a beach where there are already fire pits set up for the public to use, but they fill up really quickly. We had friends visiting from out of state and wanted to give them the total Pacific NW experience. We purchased a nice bundle of larger sized wood kindling and it worked perfectly for a small fire. Lots of folks passing by were intrigued by it and it def caught attention. We have yet to use it as a bbq, and I don't know that we ever will. Nice to have a safe, compact option for little beach fires. Love the packaging and the case it comes with. Great experience all around!

   Looking at this grill after setup you really don't think it has enough surface area to cook with any pots or pans. Well I was wrong! We bought a normal size cast iron and after setup we put it on and it fit perfect. Folds down really nice and very portable. One suggestion would be to have a small plastic bag in order to store the actual grill (since it can get a big sticky and messy after cooking meats on it) in order to put it back in the travel bag without getting the outsides of the grill greasy. Folds completely flat and fits nicely in a HD saddlebag, and takes up very little space so you almost still have full use your saddlebag for other items. Definitely something to have with you if you need to cookout in a remote area... super small and compact take it anywhere.

I love that it packs down to the size of a magazine (almost) I do a lot of motorcycle camping and this will definitely come in handy. Very well made. I just line it with aluminum foil before putting in the coals. Easy-peasy clean up.
