   I had been trying a combination of two or three pillows depending on how I was sleeping for the night. So I would begin with a larger pillow on my back, then when I turned on to my side in the night I would invariably wake up with pain in my shoulder and my arm asleep. My first night sleeping on the pillow was the first night in two or three weeks that I slept well and fell rested in the morning.

   For years, for as long as I can remember, I have had trouble sleeping. Sometimes, it comes and goes with periods of maybe a week or so where I can sleep okay-ish. But overall, my sleep had always been 2-3 hrs, 4 on a good night, none on a bad night. When I was younger, I boasted on my ability to stay up all night. But now, 2 children and years later, I realized that I was a chronic insomniac. It would get so bad that if I had bad nights, I tell my husband and he knows it's going to be a long day full of sneaking 10-15 minute naps here and there. If I'm lucky, I'd be able to get a few hours in during the day. But that also meant that I would get nothing useful done that day. And both of us would leave feeling like it was a wasted day (we own a business which sleep always made a difference). This honestly just made life so difficult, especially if I had weeks on end of bad nights.
