   This is a fairly solid unit that utilises batteries for its power. A small point but a rechargeable battery would be a step up. There are clear instructions on operation that is intuitive anyway. I can suffer badly from Rhinitis and regular use of the laser has reduced the symptoms. Like other reviewers I am not a fan of the nose clamp even at intensity 1. There is a suggested treatment course to follow that is helpful. I bought it with the attitude, what have I got to lose and while it has not totally eradicated my symptoms I have used it long enough to know it brings some relief.

   Sinus irrigation is a breeze with this machine. I had one for a couple of years which died. I promptly replaced it. It comfortably clears one’s nasal passages when allergens are in the air and when suffering congestion. It always results in great relief of sinus pressure and is so much easier than pouring in water from a little pot.

   I have suffered from chronic sinusitis for past decades and used to flush out my sinuses with an Oxyclean dental pressure cleaner. It supplied a steady adjustable rate of flow, and I only bothered to mix my own saline solutions. As I never flushed the pump out with clean water after use (as recommended by Grossan) it eventually failed after many years of use. The hydro pulse action of the Grossan replacement seems to work better and the bulb on the end of its nozzle safer to use. I also like the manner in which the probe is attached to a permanently coiled tube which makes it easier and neater to store. As I now use shop bought distilled water in it, it is simple to refill the reservoir in order to flush out the medically purified saline mix I now also use.

   The plastic container on this machine (softer plastic) doesn't break where the other one does - it is a hard plastic. Other than that they both perform basically the same. Regardless of the one you choose, it is critical to flush the system with plain water after you use it. If you don't do this, your machine will not last very long. The salt will destroy it.

   I am just getting around to writing this review after having this for a long time. The unit works well but it's tricky to remove the applicator nozzle without thinking you are going to break it. Unfortunately over time it got weak and did break. I can still use it but I have to hold it all together in my hand to work. Be sure to follow instructions and rinse clean water through the system after using salt otherwise you can greatly lessen the life of your unit. Sure helps to prevent colds and sore throats if you can catch it in time. And as gross as it may be, it really helps clear your nasal passages gently when you do have stuff that is clogging you up. You end up staring at the sink to see if anything is coming out.
