This worked very effectively to clean up all the algae in my Koi pond! I was a new Koi pond owner and the pond's UV clarifier was broken. My pond is about 600 gallons and has a waterfall filter and a DIY rock/sand barrel filter. I was also using beneficial bacteria and barley to try and control the algae in the pond but it wasn't enough. Once I started using this product, the water cleared completely and I no longer have to scoop out algae out of pond. My pond has stayed crystal clear ever since.

I don't usually like using chemicals to take care of algae, but this stuff has a very specific use in my aquariums (hundreds of tanks). Filamentous algaes that are impossible to remove physically, are not eaten by any fish or nerite snail, and take over the tank to the point where it is growing in your filter. Even in my heavily planted tank with CO2 and a ph monitor that turns the CO2 on to keep the tank at or below 6.1 doesn't stop this type of algae. But this stuff does.

I read reviews about dead fish and was worried, but the algae was a problem that had to get solved. So far, it's doing well. I started with half the necessary dose and that helped to clear the water overnight. I watched the fish and they seemed to be frisky and active, so I applied a second half dose a week later. (2300 gallon pond) They are all doing fine and the algae is managed pretty well. Need to vacuum out the bottom of the pond to remove some of the dead algae and prevent more from cropping up. Just take your time with the dosage and make sure to keep your pump running with good filtration and aeration.

After several days we could begin seeing through the water and after a month, it is remaining crystal clear. But unless you have REALLY big ponds, consider buying a smaller bottle. We have two small ponds. One is 12 ft x 6 ft and the other is 6 ft x 3 ft and this bottle will last us 20 years!
