   The assembly directions that come in the box are pictured above. Basically, you start at the bottom and build it up. 3 of the pegs' screws are longer than the other 2, so those 3 are meant for the bottom 3 holes. I think most of the people who had a hard time with assembly didn't notice this detail. I put it together very quickly without any tools. We have it for dress up clothes and it looks adorable. I might use it for Christmas stockings, too, like other reviewers have mentioned.

   I used this as a stocking holder through the holidays as I don't have a mantle... worked perfectly for my family of 5 and I got many compliments on the idea! Now it's in my 4 year olds room as an actual coat rack & is working fine. It's not super heavy or sturdy but the quality is really good. Any heavier and it would probably be dangerous if pulled over onto a baby or toddler, so I'm perfectly satisfied and my needs have been met!
