I have several mounted outside under the eave of the roof so that it does not get rained on and they work great with no housing whatsoever. I also use the Fuji 32GB card so that I have full playback surrounding any alert (or can record continuously). The app is very intuitive and easy to review the highlights.

These updates take away from you more and more control of your footage. First it's the camera won't work. Then an update takes away smart detection. That feature was the reason I purchased the cameras. I purchased very good cards to read my own videos which was an option then.
