   My Mother-in-Law has had edema for a while and she can't wear the compression stockings her doctor recommended. I went with her other recommendation of a leg compression massager they have in hospitals. There are quite a few companies that sell this so it was a bit difficult to decide. I came across this massager and the reviews were good so we decided on this one. The shipping was fast. It wasn't difficult for me to understand how to use it. My Mother-in-Law is 88 years old and was able to understand how to use it after a couple times. She uses it a couple times a day to help with the fluid build up. Overall, it has worked well for her as she doesn't complain about the pain like she use to.

   I bought 1 pair for my parent with AWFUL neuropathy in multiple extremities (non-diabetic related) and various autoimmune diseases. She loves them so much!! I then purchased a pair for my grandma who has diabetic neuropathy who also found great relief with these, especially with swelling. I myself have dysautonomia, POTS, very low blood pressure, etc, so I borrow them often and it really does help with circulation. Highly recommend for those suffering chronic health issues and/or for those stuck in bed often. Please keep in mind it can only be used stationary (sitting or laying down). Very easy to use, highly recommend! (pro tip: perfect gift to show your loved one how much you care for their health & comfort).

   Sitting all day has led to her lower legs often aching or feeling weak. I often massage her legs after work but I also travel. These were intended to allow relief after work while I was on the road. It's turned out that she uses them even when I'm home and might massage for a little bit. I guess these don't tire of massaging after 5 or so minutes, so they work out better than I do, in this regard (I can still do a short massage and then the boots follow, so it's all good).

   I like these because the options for heat and compression intensity are variable. Sometimes I use these after a calf workout to help prevent the 2 a.m. charlie horse, but mostly I use these after getting home from work and dealing with swollen lower legs/ankles/feet. I didn't need the extension option but I like that they include it by default. Only gripe is minor and that the program stops after a set time and can't be set to just run continuously.
