The Android app is nothing spectacular but it works well. You're able to do quite a bit of configurations with the lights as far as colors, brightness, pulse and more. I really am pleasantly surprised with this product. “Installation” is as simple as pulling off the protective paper off of the sticky back of the lights, and arranging them wherever you want them. In my case, on the back of my TV. They are powered by plugging them into an available USB port on your TV. They can be controlled by both an attached remote, or the real magic is using the free app on your phone to select from any color you can think of, brightness control, fading, shifting between colors, and other options. You can also download other users’ custom settings. Like I said, I was honestly surprised at how well everything worked, given that the price is so low. I really would encourage anyone to get these lights.

I installed on the back of my 55" TV and not thinking about it, started down one side, then across the bottom. By the time I got to going up the other side, I realized for the 55" TV I should have installed them more in the center area of the TV so I could make one big square. The TV was already mounted on to the wall, so I have no strip running against the top of the TV now. More of a U shape, but I feel the lights still look good on there. If I hadn't been so far into it, I would have removed and reapplied, but for this purpose and how cheap they were, I don't mind it being like this. Turning the lights to blue really looks nice as well. This is the second set of this brand I have used and the app is always so easy to use. For the TV, I just let them turn on with it. Would recommend, but would also suggest laying them out first before sticking them to a TV or monitor to get the layout you prefer.
