My favorite part is the adjustable warmth settings (cool, cool+warm blend, and full on warm). Very customizable!! My job has lots of windows and I usually find time to get out for 15 mins a day during work. I noticed I've been angry, exhausted, frustrated, etc. I used this for the full timer for two weeks and started to notice my mood was better. I had been taking vitamin D, but clearly it wasn't enough. When I stopped for a few days, I could feel all those grumps coming back. One day will not cure you, but if you do it consistently, you will see results.

   I tried this light through a university program and as a part of it they gave us access to the research cited that has lead to the 10,000 magic number and it was a 10,000 lux light source at 18-24 inches in the study most people are referring to. It wasn't 10,000 lux at the surface of the eyeball.

   As for the quality of the light, I like it very much. It's plenty bright for me as it stands near me on my desk. I don't even use it at the brightest setting (one step down from brightest is where I've set it). It's got color temperature selections; I use it at the coolest setting (it's got two settings that are warmer). The unit runs cool to the feel. Since it's LED, it doesn't use much power. Seems like the power is converted into illumination, not heat.
