   The little legs that hold on to the sofa arm are VERY strong so watch your fingers! This came entirely assembled with the exception of the little phone holder which took about 30 seconds to attach. You need to use both hands when attaching this to the arm of your couch or chair, but once you do, it's got a good hold! I don't feel like my drink is going to fall or spill on me, even if I move around or bump it, and the surface area is enough to hold a few things. I think this is really convenient and the fact that it's portable and can follow me wherever I sit is an added bonus!

The quality is very good; the legs stretch to accommodate the large arms on the sofa. The underside has a soft, non-skid fabric which serves to keep it from slipping as well as protecting the material of the sofa. I can even put my phone in the slot provided. Outstanding product!

   When I saw this product, I was initially hesitant. I did not want a piece of junk that would just keep falling off and end up being tossed into a corner or trash. However, I was tired to putting my coffee cup and remote on the couch arm. So I gave it a shot...wow, am I glad I did.First thing is that it is fully assembled. The only thing you have to do (and you don't have to) is to attach the iphone stand with one screw through the bottom. The arms are attached to the tray right out of the box. Great!The second thing I noticed was the overall heft of the tray. It didn't feel like junk at all. It felt like a quality item.The third thing was the tension of the arms. It is not particularly hard to spread them, but they do a great job of clamping down on the arm of the couch. This is aided by a great grippy surface on the bottom of the tray and the bottom of arms.When this tray goes on, its not coming off unless you purposefully try to knock it off. We have accidentally hit it several times with a drink on it...and it didn't budge. Win!While on the topic of accidentally hitting things...if you hit your phone or ipad in the stand, that will fly off ;). First hand experience. Not the fault of the product.One little nit is that the stand slants a caseless phone too much for my taste. If you have a case, it will be better. And the ipad is perfect.

   This is the second one of these side tables I have purchased. This is extremely well made and sturdy and will last for years. It also has a strong clamp so that it will hang on to any size arm on a couch or chair. The only additional recommendation I would make is to create a flat table just like this for those of us who work from home and want to use them for our laptop. I use mine anyway but it would be nice.

   I don't have room for side tables with my sofa so I bought this item as a substitute table when I need a place to put my drink. Fits like a glove. There is an attachment for holding a cell phone. The phone will stay in the horizontal position, not vertical. If your phone has a thick protective case it may not fit in the grooved cutout. It did fit my phone with a traditional case, but that's not why I purchased this item, that's just a bonus.

   I am going to have shoulder replacement and was needing something to put my phone, glasses, cell phone and my drink. I have it on the arm of my lift chair. I can recline all the way back with my glass that is in a sleave and it does not move. I just tried the glass to see if it would slide with the lift up and it didn't slide. I will not take any chances. I like that it will hold my phone and or my tablet. It fits reel tight on the arm and that is good.
