They are really good at preventing carpal tunnel syndrome. They are also good for musicians who play stringed instruments to strengthen the digits.

Great for RSI (hand-pain). I can feel my hands getting stronger by the week and I can type longer after I use it as a warm-up. It's twice as useful as a normal pressing-ball because it has the stretch in it as well. The 3 levels are a bonus. The packaging is great despite the lousy picture of the product in the description.

I bought these after I tried yoga and started having persistent wrist pain for a few weeks. I tried wrist braces but that didn't work and then I bought these after a suggestion from a yoga forum. They work great!! I only had to use the lowest resistance ball and band and the pain cleared right up. I still use them for a few minutes after every yoga session and occasionally in the middle of a long work day of typing. Have not had any wrist problems in months

I love these balls. Some years ago I injured my wrist. I've done endless hours on grip exercisers and yoga with very little improvement. I've lifted weights too and have muscular forearms but my left hand still aches. I've had these balls for a short time and already my wrist feels noticeably better. My young son also uses them and is improving. My artist wife continually complains about hand pain and loves them. I play clarinet and can already play with noticeably less pain. I expect good things in the future in terms of healing. Don't think that just because you're a muscle guy that your hands are strong. Often, working with weights just makes the imbalance worse and not better.

Fantastic item for a great and complete hand therapy. Very easy to manage but remember, each of them has different strengths depending on the color. Read the instructions carefully otherwise, you can hurt yourself.

These things save my tendons big time. I get bad pains in my tendons, elbows wrist even shoulder when I am climbing a lot especially if I'm pulling hard on a bunch of tiny crimps all day. By using this even fairly infrequently I can avoid hours or days of throbbing inflamed tendons. The reaistance when you open your hand is key to easing the pain. The variety pack is great as it gives you the option of customizing the resistance of the ball and the band.

Long-distance cycling was causing hand pain (along pinky and outer edge of palm). Grip is strong thanks to longterm Captain of Crush use but those exercises did not alleviate the problem. Three weeks ago began using the Handmaster Plus regularly and much less pain from riding. I think the flex against the resistance of the band may be key for my issue.

Picked up a potentially permanent hand injury recently and figured it might be a good idea to look into some rehab equipment. This was by far the best deal I could find and upon getting it, I'm not in anyway disappointed. Very effective for exercising finger straightening motion. If you have weak grip, the selection of balls is quite varied and, therefore, effective. The lavender ball is just light enough to bother with while the orange ball is surely in the ballpark of 130lbs for a full squeeze. I can barely put a dent in it. If you need legitimate athlete level hand strength, the firm setup would probably get you there.

I'm a personal trainer and amateur acrobat and I strongly recommend this tool to my clients and training partners! I have greatly improved the health of my wrists, elbows and shoulders by diligent use of this tool and shoulder stabilization training. It comes in three different band and ball strengths, all of which are interchangable. This gives you a wide range of super easy to use and fantastically effective tools to use in rehabbing and strengthening both your flexors and extensors.
