   I wasn't sure I needed a product like this really. I cook all the time, but I always shredded meat with forks or just cut them with knives. So, I tried making chicken tacos. Put the meat into this thing and see what this could do. It worked fantastically and took no time at all. Each piece usually took me 3 minutes. This was done in 30 seconds. It is plastic, so i cannot say what the durability is like, but so far.......it's been great. Look forward to shredding pork or steak with it as well.

   I shred 3-5 pounds of chicken at a time about every 2 weeks. I came to dread that day as it took away some valuable time from my weekend, not to mention the stress in my beginning arthritic hands. I was skeptical at first because of some of the reviews, but found it easy to use and aside from having to rearrange some pieces once in a while, I declared it a success. As for the “slipping”, I found placing a small piece of non-slip shelving material under the shredder does the trick

   Love this. I make homemade dog food and I sit for hours shredding chicken. Using this took me about 20 minutes with the same amount of food. I do agree the the “non skid” bottom is BS. It slides all over the place and in my opinion is not even useable unless you have something under it. I just used a damp dish towel. Other than that I love it.

   I love this thing!!!! I wouldn't cut the chicken without it!! I was able to sit and shred the chicken breast and it didn't slip on my table. I was amazed at how it shredded the chicken. After using it, I put it in the dishwasher. My daughter and son-in-law loved it too. I have ordered 3 more Christmas gifts and will order 2 more so that the Christmas gifts close to Christmas will be delivered to their door. It's one of my very favorite kitchen tools. I have not tried it on any meat.

   I just received this and I am giving it an overall rating of 5 stars without having tried it yet, just because of the idea and kind of simple solution it gives to a tedious task in the kitchen, however, i think the tooth will at some point break or start to bend and thus lose the ability to chop the meat properly which would be very risky to use it in a commercial kitchen if one of the teeth that tooth is broken and the user does not notice it. I'd love to see a larger pro version (say with at least one 11"-12" shredder) made of stainless steel with a hard silicone ring on the rim and I'm sure it will fly off the shelf, At least I want to be the first to buy at least a pair.
