I get about 7-8 hours from one tank of water, so I just refill it every night before I go to sleep (I use it while sleeping). The tank is easy to refill and it's easy to clean. I liked that the humidifier does not take up a lot of room on my desk, which creates more space like other items. The only thing that I don't like is that it is a bit hard to see the water line in the middle. The vertical line is not super transparent cause it has a sort of dark tint/film over it. To see the water line you basically have to shine a flashlight on it. Other than that the humidifier does not make too much noise and is pretty quiet, though don't expect NOT to hear it. I usually keep it at the low setting or slightly above low and it lasts me about 2-3 nights of around 8 hours of sleep before I have to refill it.

I read so many reviews before I bought this one and read so many negative comments about the noise and not being able to control the volume of the mist. I have not had one problem with this machine. I can decrease and increase the mist level and the noise is nothing. Every once in a while it does gurgle as it lets more water into the reservoir of the machine base but it literally does that for a second. I am happy with this machine and my Peace Lily seems to love it! Yes I bought it for my plant!

The solution of being able to see the water level through the window is to hold a light directly against the bottom of the window. It will light up the inside and then you can see the water level. Not a bad trade off for the lack of a built in led light when considering the overall value for your money at this price point. It is the ONLY down side. Quiet & doesnt produce excessive light in the room(glow).
