   I spool reels all year long for great lakes and small lake ice fishing. I was sick of spooling reels using a screw driver for an axle, clumsy spooling. My only regret is I didn't buy one years ago. It has made spooling reels so much easier- and precise! You must spool in line and spinning reels differently, you must unwind the product onto the spool a certain way- THIS TOOL DOES IT !

   The line spooler is very easy to use. I spooled 150 yards of 80-pound test onto a bait casting reel. The whole process went very quickly, and the line went on the reel neatly and with appropriate tension. Another added bonus is that it breaks down into two relatively small parts. Additionally, you can spool both bait cast and spinning reels. I would highly recommend purchasing this product if you spool reels. Cheaper than paying someone else to do it.

For this reason alone this is a great buy. Easy to use, well packaged, great photo instructions, and actually fun to do. Must buy for any angler.

   I bought this over a year ago as a present for my dad, and i used it more than he did. I loved it, so i bought a second one so that i didn't have to keep using my dad's. It did take a little bit of time to get a feel for how to work the setup, but after a few times i had the hang of it. It is a great product, and makes putting new line on super easy.

   I had a different winder that mounted to the rod but it was not great because you had to smash it down on the rod to get a good grip. This one is fantastic and well made for the price. Does casting or spinning and super easy to use since the reel mounts to the tool. Just got it but I expect it to last a while , seems well built and comes with bushings to insert through the spool to hold your line spool square in the tool. Nothing bad to say.
