   I was surprised by the authentic feel and look of this hoop. It’s literally a real hoop just a smaller version. My boys stay bouncing around while getting creative with basketball moves. I have to tell them often “stop being so rough.” My boys are 9 & 10 so the size of the hoop is perfect for smaller kids. However, the hoop can leave scratches on your door ( use towel to prevent this from happening). I think this is also dependent on the toughness of your play. The ball is a softer feeling ball not like a real basketball. It comes already assembled. The hooks mounted on back are big/wide enough where you can put on balcony railing for play in back yard. I’ve purchase many mini basketball hoops by far is the best.

Has a little foam covering so it braces the backboard for impact against the wood/wall, and the rim even bends to give a bit when you are dunking! Perfect gift or present for your man cave!

   This item was purchased by my 11yo son. We’ve had plastic basketball hoops for over the door before so I was expecting something that would fall apart in no time. I was pleasantly surprised when this came in. The backboard is made of plexiglass and the materials used are high quality. He is very rough with it and it is holding up to his play. He’s already played with this thing for hours. You can probably find cheaper basketball hoops but trust me, this one is worth the extra money for the quality.

   The hoop has a foam backing and can hang on the back of almost every door (I never had a problem with it not fitting) Even after heavy use I never noticed any damage to the door or the hoop, it is extremely durable but you should still be careful because I'm sure if you tried hard enough you could damage the hoop at some point.

It lasts longer and is sturdier than the other brands we've tried. Many have broken due to the kids and their friends trying to dunk. No, it's not indestructible.    Nice sturdy hoop. It was a bit too loose on our doors, causing it to bang around too much, especially since it is heavier than smaller hoops. My son has been using a much lighter/smaller ball than it came with, as that one seems far to heavy to throw around in his room. Maybe it would work for a much more open space, but not his small bedroom. I removed the door brackets and attached to the wall. The rim is heavy, so if the ball hits it it still makes the whole thing bang a bit. I will try adding another screw or something to the bottom to secure it better.

   A fun backboard/rim for the price. Foam backing all around the board and the hooks helps protect the door or whatever you hang it on. The rim is metal and mounted with springs. The net is sturdy and hooks onto 10 or 12 hooks on the rim. The worst aspect of the set is the ball--quite heavy and hard. Super loud in the house.

   If you have people/kids who aren't at a height which allows them to dunk the basketball, then you won't deal with much noise. If you have a childish, spirited husband like mine who wants to dunk the ball constantly or chuck the ball with all his might, then the backboard will bounce and reverberate against the door VERY loudly. The backboard has a black cover along the bottom of the board (which you see in the product photos), and that prevents any damage to the door caused by overzealous shooters.

   Our old skilz hoop broke and we loved that bad boy so we bought a new one. It did survive a lot of dunks before the lower metal brace snapped. I’m happy to see they beefed up that metal brace on this new one! Ball is very bouncy so be careful, we use a soft dodgeball thing for dunks. We are a house of college boys so the hoop gets a good amount of use. To stabilize it I just drilled this thing straight into the studs, highly recommend this if it’s an option for you. Just gotta mark and drill a few holes and get some screws in there. ( I do have the foam bit between hoop and wall) I added a picture of that. I kept the backboard on this one but you don’t need it if it’s right on the wall (last one we had the backboard broke so I put it right in the wall). If you’re wondering it’s difficult to remove the door hanging parts of the backboard. Very high quality hoop for the price. Can really yam on er’ just can’t hang (although I am tempted to think a smaller child might be able to)
