   These tools are great for beginners. I got these tools for my 8 year old daughter to use with clay. She loves the tools, they are simple to use, good quality and came in a nice case. I would have liked for there to be directions or some form of material possibly explaining the use of the different tools as that would have been helpful for her, but we just watched a YouTube video on what and how to use the tools properly.

   I purchased these for my daughter for her 13th birthday. She is an aspiring artist and loves every medium. We had a smaller 'starter' kit from a different company that was more 'childish' and had more plastic lower quality pieces. I do believe a beginner artist can use however I would not recommend for younger children unless supervised by an adult. There are some very sharp pieces as one would expect to be able to carve and shape clay. A nice tool set to her artistry box!

   Great value set for beginners. Bought this for use with polymer clay and its been fantastic. Still learning how to use them efficiently, but overall has exceeded my expectations. Minor thing that Ive noticed is that the clay sticks to the wood roller if its either rolled very thin or is really warm. I find rolling on paper prevents it from sticking to the wood and is easily removable.

   I got these for my fiance when we found out she was good at making miniatures. I like how many tools we got especially for the price. They work very well and we use them daily. I prefer the metal to the plastic but will use all of them. The sponge was a little too rough for me but I would recommend these to anyone and would buy them again if the need arises though they are quite sturdy. I use sculptey clay and these help smooth them very nicely and flatten them when needed. I have been able to do much more intricate designs. They also help me maneuver the clay into smaller sections and make making toes and such much easier.

   I love many different arts and crafts and these pottery, clay and sculpting tools come in a great canvas zippered case so they stay organized. The case has elastic on the inside that holds the tools in place so they don't fall all over the place. You get a wood potters rib, a wood modeling tool, a metal scraper, wire clay cutters, steel scrapers, a ribbon tool, a needle tool, a loop tool and a sponge. All of these tools are useful and it's a great quality beginner set. Since I am still new to this type of craft I feel this is perfect for me but for those more experienced this is probably not the right set. I like that this is affordable as well as a easy to take on the go or use at home. Overall I am very happy with this nifty little set and I would recommend it to others.    I make little clay figures out of sculpey clay and these tools are essential! The silicon ones are firm enough that they don't bend too much, but soft enough to smooth out the clay perfectly. I also enjoy the plastic one with the spear head tip. The dotters are perfect for my tentacle suction cups. These are amazing for the price, amazing period. I did pair this set with another to get the needle tip and smaller silicon tips in my collection of tools, but honestly you would be fine with just this set.

   This is a wonderful clay and pottery tool set. The materials are made solidly, and all the parts work as you would expect them to. The metal feels solidly attached to the wooden handles. There are pieces for shaping, cutting, styling and forming your clay pieces. The sponge also provides a nice way of moistening your pieces to attach different pieces. I'm not a professional with clay but I dabble as a hobby and have been teaching my 6 year old daughter how to do some beginning pieces. This has helped her tremendously with her form. Overall a nice set. I received this set for free or deeply discounted in exchange for my honest review. However, all comments come from my honest usage of this product.

   I just began learning to sculpt and this set is exactly what I needed. I don't need a full set of high-end tools but I do need a comprehensive set that will allow me to try out as many different tools as is reasonably possible and this set is exactly that. As I continue to practice I'll undoubtedly learn that I reach for a small subset of the tools the majority of the time, and those are the tools I'll consider upgrading to more expensive 'pro' models. I do not care that it did not come with a carrying case or other pouch-type storage because I don't like sliding markers or small paint brushes in and out of pouches while I'm working, and I don't think I'd like doing that with sculpting tools, either. Storage is easy to find and most of it protects tools much better than a plastic pouch does. FIVE STARS!
