   I was in the market for a new colander/strainer because I somehow partially melted my last one (perhaps it fell during a routine cleaning in the dishwasher?) I looked at several colanders on Punkybobs and landed on this one. Overall, they feel pretty sturdy and so far, I haven't had any problems. I've seen people talk about how their colander has split or not tolerated high temperatures well -- I haven't experienced this so far. If something like that should happen, I'll be sure to come back here and provide an update. Overall, a solid purchase.

   I was tired of searching for our standard plastic colander, which my wife always places in a cabinet that requires me to roll out a slider shelf and lift up other items and replace those items in order to get out the colander. So, this set of colanders is for ME. I use colanders all the time to wash fruits (berries, etc.) The ability to have collapsible colanders readily available in a drawer or cabinet is fantastic. These are probably similar to many others out there, but they had the best price and were the best size for my needs.
