   If you're contemplating ordering this, just do it. I have several is it is my trusty work assistant. I have one at home, the office and even a "vacation" one. I LOVE having my coffee warm for as long as I take to drink it. This is the best invention. It could be slightly hotter when the cup is full and you have to watch it if the cup is almost empty as the liquid can be pretty hot at that point. This makes a great stocking stuffer or gift at any time. Highly recommend.

   I am glad I did. I have a tendency to sip coffee so slowly that it becomes cold. I HATE COLD COFFEE. This keeps my coffee hot no matter how long it takes me to finish the cup. The warmer is the perfect size for a regular coffee cup/mug. The plate is poorly painted in black. I have only had a short time and scratched the paint off the one side. The cord length is normal. It says it has an extra long one for mobility but that cord is not particularly "extra long." Over I am happy with this purchase and will get another for when I return to working in an office.

   I bought it because far too often I make a cup of tea/coffee at work and then get too busy and by the time I take a sip it's already cold! I bought it so I wouldn't have to leave my desk and go heat up my drink in the microwave in another room every 5 minutes. I used it for the first time today (*I'd also like to note that I also purchased the “TRU BLU” stainless steel insulated “flat bottom” mugs as suggested since most mugs have a concave bottom and don't make total contact with the heater which prevents the mug from heating up very well) so I strongly recommend that too (or ANY “flat bottom” mug - I am not being paid to promote either product, just my personal opinion). I made my tea and it sat for 10 minutes before I got to drink it and it was a perfect temperature and stayed that way until I finished it within 30 minutes).

   Everything everyone else hates about it is what makes me love it. It's simple. You turn it on, you turn it off. Yes, the coating starts to come off immediately, but that just means I don't feel like I have to be super-careful with it or terrified I'll break it. Its sturdy and lasts a long time. It's hot enough--if it were any hotter, I'd be afraid I'd burn myself on it. I haven't had any safety issues with either purchase, but I suppose there's the potential for any product made by humans to be defective. My father once bought a highly rated vehicle that turned out to be a complete lemon. He traded it in on the same make and model and that vehicle is the best he's ever had. So I'm not worried about overheating or it being a hazard.
