   I bought one for my daughter's home & one for mine after listening to Dr Berg say that salt kills mucus. There are other benefils I already knew. Everyone in both households love them...they are beautiful & larger than what I expected. The salt seems to be an excellent quality. The light is dimmable so it's perfect for a bedroom. A great value as well. I highly recommend this lamp. If you're gifting, order early...it took quite a while to get them probably due to shipping issues....thanks again Joe B...ugh

   Our oldest daughter was over this afternoon and noticed that the one dog that usually was so flighty around her was so laid back in comparison. At night when our two 2 year olds would wrestle so much and cause all kinds of chaos seem so much more subdued. I thought about this after the first week of using it but decided to wait longer just to see and it has been definitely true. So it's not in my mind. I love the fact that it has a dimmer. And it really does seem to keep the dust down. I do believe it has helped my husband's stress level also since at times with his work at the International Law Enforcement Academy with delegates from all over the world coming here there is a lot to do and a lot of tight schedules to work with at times. I highly recommend this lamp or others like it. It was delivered quickly and packaged well. I also ordered the Himalayan salt to use instead of just the regular white salt.

   You can place these everywhere in the house, and as a movable shrine, they will follow you from room to room; they will be a spiritual comfort and give you peace. This is not an accessory; it is a necessity. Here is a monument to an unknown god - a god who has been secretly hidden in you and now released to your consciousness. The little candelabra bulb at the bottom was crushed, as though it were so overcome by the intensity of the Himalayan experience above it, that it could not bear to exist in its mundane role as merely a generator of light. Since I had ordered a pack of these bulbs, it was easy to replace it with one of its brethren. Plugging this into a wall outlet is yet another unforgettable experience: nothing happens until you realize that there is a round dimmer wheel attached, and as you first turn it, and increase and decrease the light output, momentarily you will feel as though you have ceased to breath.

   Won't relight even after I changed the bulb so, I am sending that one back for replacement. It was very light in color and when I first saw it, I was worried that I wouldn't like it, but when it lit up for just those few seconds, I was pleasantly surprised. Almost white, but very pretty once lit so, I don't think I'll mind if my next one is also light in color though I must say, the orange colored rocks in this one are more to my liking. Either way, I can't imagine being so disappointed with my next ones that I return them just bc they ARE white. So, order away. You won't be sorry you did whether you're ordering for therapeutical value or, merely to have a nice accent piece for your room. The light is warm, charming and as others have said, add value to any setting. Also, looks far more expensive than it is, imo.

   I'm always looking for natural ways to improve our health and after reading up on the Himalayan salt theory and reading the reviews on this product I decided to order one. I loved it the minute I saw it. It came wrapped up very tightly in cardboard and then placed inside a cardboard box. The basket was already filled with the salt chunks but the bulb had a cardboard sleeve around it protruding all the way through the top so you could just gently pull on it and the bulb would be exposed and ready for use without even having to mess with the salt chunks. I was afraid the salt may shift and break the bulb so I just removed the salt that surrounded the bulb, removed the cardboard sleeve then gently replaced the salt chunks. Plugged it in, adjusted the light level to what we wanted with the dimmer switch on the cord, and enjoyed. Even my husband was impressed. We have it in the living room near our recliners and if I don't turn it on, he does. It adds a comfortable warm glow to the room but is not distracting for TV watching. We've had it for about two weeks and the air definitely smells fresher and feels more crisp as you breath in through your nose.

It really is unbelievable! I mean, it's JUST A LIGHT, right? I can attest to the fact that it is so much more! In addition, it also has a solid, sturdy feel to it (it is quite heavy, so be careful) and an equally sturdy dimmer switch attached to it. So you can cast as much glow as you'd like. On it's highest setting, it is pretty bright...I would not say you could read by it, but it will light up your whole living room with a soft glow--enough for you to see as you are walking around. I will also admit that I was intrigued by the "pink salt?" that makes up these rose-quartz-looking chunks. Salt is pink?? Huh. So I stuck out the tip of my tongue and YEP, it's salt! I cannot comment on the air purifying effect in my house yet, but if you purchase this simply as a decorative lamp, you will not be sorry!
