   This little ship is awesome. It looks great and I find the price to be very reasonable. I purchased it for my 8-year-old son, but I find myself playing with it most of the time. Out of the box, the battery takes 4-5 hours to fully charge and it provides a good 20-25 minutes worth of running time. However, here's a little trick: if you purchase the set of batteries and the battery holder which are linked here, you can increase the run time to over an hour! Just re-use and solder the wiring that comes with the included battery pack, to complete the "new battery pack". Make sure to solder the red wire with the positive battery terminal and the black wire with the negative battery terminal.

   Mine personally, had no range, wouldn't control with the remote, then I took it apart, reassembled it with another Hengtai boat, and made a super ship. The detail is exquisite, allowing for a range of different things to be done. The life boats worked great for my model, the plastic is durable and malleable enough to be pried, melted, drilled, and cut through. It can be painted on, and can be used to create a hyper realistic vessel.

   Worked nice till I let kiddo take helm. He cut off a family on a pontoon who was grilling on lake. They took evasive action and grill and their dinner went overboard. Then took it full speed into dock. I managed to grab the radar mast before she went down to bottom of lake engines full. As I ran from lake with the kid under my arm and angry boaters chasing me I realized I should have plased some material in her hull to help her float if she became swamped.
