I don’t really know how or why it works but I love it and lay it on it every evening for relaxation. My son gets migraines and he lays on this every time he gets one. He’s always asleep within 5 minutes of laying on it. They’re very sharp and pokey if you just step on it (haven’t done that and don’t recommend) but laying on distributes the weight perfectly so it’s comfortable

This combo is daunting to look at and even worse to lay down on especially the first time. I am dealing with long Covid back issues and this does help release some of the pressure. I have trigger points all over and this touches them all. I wouldn't say it cures anything instead it gives relief to my nagging back pain. As another pointed out perhaps it just hurts worse so you focus on that instead of your back. Shirt on or off its uncomfortable but as I stated I am more relaxed within a few minutes. Also your back will go numb after a bit LOL so the pain is only temporary. The neck pillow works great if you have tension/tender spots at the base of your head. I have not fallen asleep on it although I have come close a few times. Well worth the money in my opinion. It has become part of my long-haul arsenal.

I have used them for 20-25 minutes while I listen to podcasts and unwind. It is uncomfortable for the first few minutes (you back and neck will feel sunburnt), but the warmth then spreads through your muscles is very relaxing. I plan to continue using this mat and pillow as part of my nightly “unwind” routine.
