   I wanted one of these to put in our stairwell so we could be alerted when our toddler sneaks out of bed. I don't like the idea of cameras and this makes sense for safety as well. I positioned on the window sill of our stairwell and picks up movement both up and downstairs. Great for middle of the night checks on kids or feedings. I've been slowly moving over to all hue lighting and this is a great add. I'm going to get more for the porch and master closet.

   This is a great little gadget . Wish it wasn't so expensive so I could get more of them. The only problem I have is that you can only set one to do one thing . Like I would like to set it to only use motion after a certain time or like if all the other lights are on then don't use the motion. Sometimes I will turn all the lights on and the motion sensor will turn it off. All and all it is cool . I'd get one if you want to designate a certain light to always be on motion detection

   I have two of these motion sensors now and they work great. Actually have one outdoors over my front door to turn on the porch light as someone approaches. Even though it's not rated for outdoor use it works fine. It's out of the weather so it doesn't get rained on but is still subject to the temperature extremes. The other sensor is used to activate a light at the bottom of my stairs - it turns on as I start down the stairs or when I come in from the garage into the downstairs entry. To this point they have worked flawlessly.

   Easy to install. Bought for my bathroom dimmable white hues. Makes a huge difference in the night having hues for dim light scheduled at night, not scrambling for the light switch in the dark and not worrying all day that I left the lights on. Also the lights come on and turn off soft and not abrupt like when I tried to install a motion sensor switch. Having bath time settings are nice as well. It's not a necessity item but it has really made the place more home-y.
