   So far we are loving this chess board! We went on a family vacation and a family member had a different board and it brought back so many childhood memories of playing and beating everyone! I hadn’t played in over 8 years, on this vacation I played 5 different people and couldn’t get over how much I have missed chess. I am a mom now and barely sit down and do something so relaxing! So I had to buy a new chess board and I’ve been playing with the husband every night now! I personally love this board, it’s very sturdy and I love that you can store the pieces so organized. The pieces feel very thick too which I love! Highly recommend this board!

   I ordered this for my 8 year old who just learned how to play. I am very pleased with this chessboard. The edges align well, the game board is symmetrical, the pieces are uniform, and it’s a great starter set for the price.
   I really like that both the board & the pieces are wood, not plastic. Each piece can be returned to it’s elastic strap when not in use, & the game becomes quietly portable; no loose chessmen to rattle about.
   I would be happy to gift this to a beginner chess player. I expect we will enjoy years of use from ours!

   I got a lot of presents for my boyfriend’s birthday, and arranged them all in assorted gift bags for his arrival home after work the night before the big day. I gathered an impromptu surprise get-together for the homecoming, and, once he arrived, I had him open the crowd-friendly gifts. I had gotten 6-7 different portable games, intended for use on our lovely roof deck - the social center of our building. Of all the presents he opened, this was by far his favorite! He loves chess, and needed a nice, portable set that he can take to play with friends, either on the roof, or at the local watering hole. He was thrilled with the smooth, wooden board, and loved that the pieces are securely stored inside. He said he has a little magnetic travel set that he got overseas, but is so glad he has a more presentable set for playing with friends in person (as opposed to via phone app). The pieces themselves are nicely carved and finished. I even got a post purchase e-mail from the seller, informing me that they will happily send replacement pieces should any ever be lost. All around great purchase, a perfect gift for any avid chess-lover, or beginners who need a portable set to take to, say, the park or a friend’s place to play.

After opening it I was blown away by its high quality look. The first board had a small blemish in one of the walnut inlay checkers. They were quick in sending me a replacement and got it two days later. The pieces look high quality and feel phenomenal as well. It is a good board and has good pieces. It feels good in the hands and would look good as a center peice. The quality exceedes the price point and was a phenomenal purchase. Would buy again

   Every attention to detail has been made here. The wood box that is both the board and the storage case for the pieces is nicely finished both inside and out. Inside is a soft lining with individual elastic straps to hold each piece in place. An excellent value for the price. Once purchased I was contacted by the owner of the company in an email to which he had attached the rules of chess. He also offered to replace any piece I should lose in the future. What more can you ask for?
