For polenev, it is clear that you need a bigger wedge and the drive is more efficient. Now you do not have to aim for the ax on the churches, which do not climb into the chopper. Exactly as described. Takes a little getting used to, but works just fine. If you start small and don’t try to split whole chunks of hardwood in one shot, you’ll be good. This is 4-5 pieces of split wood. It took me about 20 minutes to figure out my approach... getting the splitter stuck and unstuck time and again... but, once I figured that out, it was smooth sailing. This stack took about 20 minutes (on top of the 20 minute orientation period). Bottom line: I’m happy with this, glad I bought the big (42mm) one, and would buy again.
