For the first few rips I marked pencil lines to make sure it was cutting straight and not sawing off course, no worries there at all. I've been a carpenter for over 35 years and therefore have a great deal of knowledge about tools; this one is worth every penny.

   Bought this to cut down 4 X 8 1/2" birch plywood for a set of kitchen cabinets, plywood is cut on a table made with 3/4 fir plywood and 2" blue foam. First couple of cuts were not that great but after getting use to it all cuts came out exactly right on. All face material is hickory, needed some additional 2" wide material for a cabinet front, my table saw was set up with dado blades and was thinking why go to the effort of changing out the saw, why not use the saw guide. The 2" hickory parts were again right on, only way to get repeatable parts. Wish I had used the saw guide when I started this project. Plastic parts, does it really matter, it works great if you secure the material you are cutting

   I purchased the Kreg Rip Cut to help me rip lengths of plywood for a barn door project. I do not have a table saw and needed a cheaper alternative to rip boards. This jig did the trick. It was easy to set up on my circular saw and made accurate rips one after another without having to remeasure every time. This jig was a money saver and a time saver for my project and is a valuable tool in my collection now.

   This jig is great for roughly breaking down plywood before accurately cutting it to the final dimensions on the table saw. I wouldn't trust the accuracy of the jig for final cuts, but it easily gives straight cuts to within about 1/8 of an inch. It *does* like to launch thinner pieces that you are cutting, so make sure nothing (and no one) important is in front of where you are cutting.

It was a little confusing at first to get everything set up and calibrated but once you did that it was awesome. Made cutting 4x8 sheets a breeze! I had some one help me while i was cutting the sheets down to ensure the edge stayed flush with the tool and it made a great cut!

   Great saw guide! Does EXACTLY what it was designed for. For those of you complaining about it's "squareness" I question your understanding of woodworking. The point of this tool is to have a consistent distance from the saw blade to the edge of the workpiece. It doesn't have to be perfectly square. It only NEEDS to be consistent without movement. This guide does EXACTLY that.

The reason is because I had to repeat the same cut half a dozen of times, due to the material thickness. Moreover, I cut several boards, and they were all uniform!. It looks like I did these cuts with a professional table saw!. It is amazing yet easy to set and install.
