YOU must calibrate the pointer gauge when you switch saws between left and right side circle saws when you calibrate the gauge to true measurement MARK IT do that to both right and left handed saws PLUS YOU need to make sure the the hold down clamps are put down correctly and your saw is flush with the jig......I point this out in the pictures........THE KREG RIP-CUT JIG WORKS VERY WELL............GIVE IT AAA+

I was able to install my battery powered circular saw on this really easily by following the instructions. The instructions were clear and easy to follow with the exception on the last step to line up the saw with the red mark so your cuts are accurate. I followed the steps and did a test cut and it was off by about a centimeter. I tried reading the instructions again and refollowed the steps and the same issue happened. I resorted to simply making a test cut on some scrap wood and manually adjusting until the cut was accurate. I used this to build a workbench with plywood which required a lot of cuts that were the same size and each cut turned out to be very consistent. I wish they had a 3ft/1m max instead of only 2ft, but it was clear that would be a max and they do offer a track saw accessory as well which uses the same plate you mount your saw to.
