   Works great. I see in some of the other comments that some people have had some issues with making straight cuts. You have to have experience with Circular saw’s and cutting with a guide. I’m a carpenter with over 35 years of experience. Take your time and keep the guide tight to the edge of the material and you will get a perfect cut every time.

   I was skeptical about using this product after reading some of the reviews. The instructions are good, but could be confusing for someone who isn't used to working with power tools. I needed something that would allow me to rip down 4x8 sheets of cabinet grade plywood for a project I was doing. I also needed it to be accurate and reproducible. After getting the saw setup on the jig this thing was a breeze. Like using any saw, you can create "play" in your cuts...but I was able to make all the 8 foot cuts I needed. I was able to get better precision cuts and a nicer edge than I could have on my little table saw with that big of a board. I used my 7 1/4 inch Milwaukee circular saw and this thing was as accurate of a rip saw as I could have imagined. For my purpose I did use a 60 tooth blade. I would HIGHLY recommend this product.

They couldn't cut a straight line because 1: they didn't fasten the saw correctly to this skid and 2: the torque of the saw was probably to strong for their soft and manicured hands!...AND they Definitely asked their wives for permission before buying this item!    I have a cabinet table saw....so it is a beast...but cutting full sheets of plywood on it is a different "b" word. Enter the Kreg rip cut saw guide. I was ripping sheets of plywood for upper kitchen cabinets. I set the guide to the width I wanted and just walked down the edge of sheet with it. It worked so well that I literally had a remnant that was the full 8 feet long but so thin that you couldn't pick it up without it breaking. Now I can cut all my plywood outside and then bring it into the shop to work with. I don't even attempt to cut large sheets of plywood on the table saw now. This guide makes it easier, more reliable, faster and safer. This is an incredible product and a must have it you rip plywood. I have used it on 1/4", 1/2" and 3/4" sheets.

   We have large sheets of 3mm MDF that we cut down to use in my laser machine and we've been trying to tackle the cutting down of these large sheets by clamping and measuring and - ugh, pain in the neck. The wood is so thin and wobbly and human error is so prevalent even with measure twice cut once. We were trying to run the guide on the saw along a board clamped to the wood after measuring each cut manually. Of course there are going to be variances in the wood cuts because we are not knowledgeable carpenters by trade.

   Kreg technical support got in touch quickly with me to let me know the offset I was seeing (1/8" at 24") would not affect performance, so I decided to give it a go. I successfully cut up two sheets of plywood - probably close to 20 cuts in total. I had to dial-in the cut offset after my very first cut by 1/16", but after that every cut was perfectly straight and on target. So glad I went for this jig, and recommend it if you don't have a table saw or one capable of cutting up plywood. Original review: I bought this jig knowing there were other reviews stating their jig was not square. Mine was not either (see photo). I've contacted Kreg customer service and will update this review with what happens. I bought it because I wanted to make nice straight cuts in plywood, and since it's not square I'm not even going to attempt it yet.

   So far, I only used it to rip a couple sheets of plywood. Setup was not difficult but i used the set screws to mark where they should anchor on the saw plate and dimpled those marks with a 1/32" drill bit. That insured the screws wouldn't move at all and all cuts were perfect. I'm a little weary that the plastic around the set screws will not be able to hold up to repeated installations and removing but time will tell. If it's gets me through 3-4 projects, I will be satisfied.

   A friend told me about this while we were discussing a project I was about to work on. I'm building approximately 10ft long shelves out of MDF/particleboard and wanted to cut the slim (about 3") horizontal supports that run under the length of the shelves. Once I got it all set-up, I ripped two 3" wide 16' lengths and fifteen 3" wide vertical supports in a matter of a few minutes. I measured the final products and they were all consistent and straight. I'm sure this was much easier than it would have been trying to run the 16' lengths, which are very flexible, across a table saw. Very impressed.

   This cutting guide works very well on sheet goods. I found it to be well made and easy to use. IF you take your time on initial set up and check your setting it is very accurate. Some people have complained it is made of plastic. It is but it is tough and well made. If you want an industrial ripping guide go buy a $200 dollar one. If youtake your time, brace your work and use the side hand hold it is a super deal for the cost. Negatives: gage is a littl hard to read. Contrasting inch lines would help, the guide doesn't always slide smoothly. There must be a wrinkle i havent found yet. Short answer is I think this is a great tool. If you have a good saw, attach it correctly you will save huge time ripping sheet good into identical sized strips up to twenty or so inches wide. If you are working on a project and may not need a rip guide again this one is well worth the money
