I was on the cusp of sending it back though because the rubber seal was not fitting properly — the lid would try to fall off when I was pouring and the smaller tea leaves would slip through the gap. Then I realised something big: the rubber seal lip was pointing down (not up like in the picture). I took the rubber bit off, flipped it over and now it works flawlessly! So happy I figured this out! I don't need to hold the lid to pour at all and nothing gets past the seal.

It's super cute and exactly what I was expecting. Large handle loop with enough space for my knuckles not to touch the hot glass. After placing tea leaves it holds an entire mug (possibly more) of liquid. Approx 8-9oz. The sieve is the same kind as in those masticating juicers. The water flows very slowly. I'm fine with that. I even put strawberry puree in it with green tea leaves and no seeds or strawberry bits went through. As you can imagine, it did get clogged through the process so I had to turn the lid to find a spot that wasn't clogged until I poured all the liquid out. Used a brush to clean the holes.
