   I purchased this unit to make use of two 4TB drives I recently retired from a NAS system. For my use-case, I just wanted access to the 8TB of unused space and this dock fit the bill nicely. I just popped the drives into the dock and plugged the dock into a PC. Nothing more required for the setup. I'm not using any of the replication or other special features, so I can't speak to those, but for basic drive access, this works exactly as expected. Good purchase.
