Unfortunately, I did not always take the one I had already had with me as I mostly use the bike share system in my city, because it's just too big and wouldn't fit anywhere. But this incident had me looking for a foldable helmet, and I knew there were several. FEND was exactly what I was looking for. It folds to a shape which you can fit into most backpacks easily. The build quality is very sturdy and exactly what I'd expect out of a helmet. I've even tested it by banging it on the wall several times, and there was not a single trace. It's very light, and stylish! And it's one of the few foldable helmets with ventilation so your head doesn't sweat. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase!

I've been using it on Citi Bike rides and it is comfortable and easy to open and close. I had to change the padding around and used the extra thick pads on the sides for a comfortable fit but now it's perfect. The folding feature is great and fits into my backpack after a ride so I don't have a helmet clunking around with me. The helmet feels well built and sturdy when opened and the closing mechanism is fun to play with. Definitely recommend!
