If you need to core holes in drywall for recessed lighting, etc., you really need this product. It contains nearly all the chalk dust, so you won't have to spend twice as much time cleaning the mess as coring the holes. In fact, after drilling 16 six-inch holes in a kitchen ceiling, I didn't even need to sweep the floor.

I built a box container to contain the dust that was created from cutting through the drywall. This is better. Just make sure you have the accompanying washer to close the hole, and when you're finished cutting, please remember, the bowl is full of dust. Don't laugh, cutting 20 holes a day, you will slip up once or twice and dump the drywall dust. I always attah the vac hose to my belt and vacccum when each hole is completed....

The base crumbled and fell apart 3rd use. This will contain some debris when working properly. Have a shop vac ready because as soon as you begin to pull away from the ceiling the dust poofs out like crazy. The major issue was the base crumbling so quick though.

If you have ever installed recessed lights you know how bad the shower of drywall dust is when drilling the hole. It will be in your hair, ears, eyes and lungs. I bought this to install led lights in my garage. Was well worth the money. Recently remodeled the kitchen. Electrician had googles, hat and a dust mask and was ready to drill the holes. I told him to try this and he was impressed. Well worth the money.

Great product but it melted down flat in my truck tool box. I live in East Texas but come on, I didn't expect that to happen. To be fair I think it may have been touching the back of the top lid.. It's a good enough tool that I immediately bought another one. That one stays home unless I need it, and it rides up front with me.
