I absolutely don't understand all the negative reviews about this product. My wife and I simply followed the very clear instructions, and it worked perfectly the very first time we tried it. Also the second, third, fourth, etc. times. Personally I have no qualms about recommending it.

This product works exactly as decribed. It doesnt even take much force to get the eggs peeled easily worth the 5 dollars it is for sale for if not more. You can peel 4 or 5 eggs in the time it takes to peel one.

Love the Eggstractor!!! I broke it out this Thanksgiving to make deviled eggs. I only had fresh bought eggs so this was the ultimate test. Out of 15 eggs only 2 messed up. Make sure you follow the directions and check your egg with every push that it's straight up. Only takes 2-4 pushes. Just LOVE the Eggstractor!

My wife got this for me, at half-price, from CVS. Frankly, I was amazed at how well it worked. I did deviate in the method of boiling the eggs, though. I think that the included instructions would have you boil the eggs for too long. My method is to cover the eggs in water, bring them to a boil, continue boiling for 1 to 2 minutes, then cover and remove from the heat and sit for ten minutes. From there, I followed the included instructions - pour off the hot water and then run cold water over them, followed by ice water immersion, etc., etc.
I used Jumbo eggs when I first tried this. I jabbed the small end of the egg a few times with the piercer and cracked the shell at the large end by tapping it on the counter a couple of times. Put the egg in the base, placed the Eggstractor over the egg and gave it a good, hard, sharp push. The egg popped right through, shorn of shell except for a small bit on the large end of the egg which was easily removed. I had no problem running a couple of eggs through with no problem.
Now, having written that, my wife, 13-year old son and 16-year old daughter all tried and couldn't generate the pressure required on the Eggstractor to pop the egg out.

I checked the reviews here after I bought one from the dollar store. Worried that this probably will not work, but still wanted to try it anyway. After boiled 5 eggs, I rinsed them in cold water, then added a few ice cubes with more water. Took one egg, cracked both ends following the instructions. The first one came out with 3 pumps, after that it only took me 1 pump to get each egg out of the shell. Worked like a charm. Kids enjoyed watching the show and ate the eggs right away. Very happy with this purchase. It really helps if the eggs are cooled. I made a another batch of eggs today. But I didn't wait for them to cool. for the first one, I only managed to shot the egg yolk out. After waited a few minutes to let the eggs cool, all worked well again.

This gadget is great when done in the proper order. I find it easiest to cook my eggs in my instant pot. Cook 5 minutes, rest 5-10 minutes, put in ice water for 5 minutes. This also works when you cook in instant put and in the fridge. Tap the skinniest part of the egg on the small beak on the gadget. Tap the larger end of egg on the counter. Place the larger end into the gadget. Then firm and straight down push. It pops out great. If it doesn’t come out, just stand the egg back up and try again. There’s a learning curve, but it’s really cool and helpful.
