   When I first used tool the tape kept ripping. I thought about the reviews, before I purchased and thought because it received one star and four star reviews it had to be because of a learning curve. You have to mix your joint compound (all purpose) at the correct viscosity. I can tape by hand with 5 minute hot mud. I had a lot of tape to run. 250 roll. This tool worked well. You have to mix mud thin enough and be careful you don't pinch tape when you are closing lid. I wanted to tape by hand but I told myself you have to be smarter than the tool

   Allows you to make the wall and ceiling strips evenly, clean and without blisters. I made 3 rooms wall and ceiling and thanks to this device I think I have saved 30% time and as much product. The only downside: the corner roulette which, for my case, was not practical, I did everything with the plate. For the ceiling, use scaffolding along the entire length of the ceiling or veneer stilts, as it is not possible to go up and down from a stepladder for example.

   I had never laid any joint strips, but I knew the binding thing. So I decided to test this product despite a somewhat high price. Frankly, I do not regret! A professional friend of the building n was not coming back from the speed and quality of the construction site. Only one downside, the chuck is not adjustable and the fastening tab of the strip roller is a little small.
